Here is calendar of events coming up.

 

Wednesday March 26th, 5pm a Touring Wall that Heals meeting. The location is at the Civic Center (City Hall), 555 South Main Street Independence.

 

Saturday March 29th, 1pm there will be an informal event at the Independence Vietnam Veterans Memorial to commemorate Vietnam War Veterans Day March 29th. This will be the second year for this recognition and hope you can join us in remembering those who served, fought and died in Vietnam. There will be an update on bringing the wall that heals to Independence. The wall that heals is a ¾ replica of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington DC. There will be cake and you can eat it too. Cake, coffee, and conversation at the Independence heritage museum after the ceremony.

 

 

Our next Legion meeting will be Wednesday April 2nd, at 7:00pm in the meeting room of the Independence Heritage Museum. The Museum is located on the corner of 2nd and C Street in Independence, 281 S. 2nd Street, across from the Post Office.  Additional parking is available by the Post Office. The meeting is kept to one hour.

 

We have no Veteran of the Month scheduled for April.
