The next meeting is on November 1st, at 7:00pm in the meeting room of the Independence Heritage Museum. Meetings are kept to one hour. The Museum is located on the corner of 2nd and C St, in Independence across from the Post Office, 281 S. 2nd Street. Additional parking is available by the Post Office.
There will be no new Veteran of the Month for November.
The new kiosk for the Viet Nam Veterans Memorial will have an official dedication on Veterans Day, Saturday November 11th at 1:00pm.
American Legion dues letter for 2024 came out in June, and our 2024 membership’s renewals are coming in. So far 5 members have renewed online and 18 have renewed by check and cash, total of 23 members renewed for 2024. The membership cards will be mailed out with the monthly letter. The American Legion membership & card will allow you in any American Legion Post, both in the U.S. and out of the country.

There is a pancake breakfast at the Monmouth Senior Center the first Saturday of each month; Monmouth Senior Center, 180 S Warren Monmouth, OR 97361. All are welcome, 8:30am to 10:30am; it is a fundraiser breakfast for $6:00. Senior Community Center - Monmouth OR
