Our next Legion meeting will be Wednesday, June 10th, at 7:00pm in the meeting room of the Independence Heritage Museum. This meeting is kept to one hour. The Museum is located on the corner of 2nd and C Street in Independence, 281 S. 2nd Street, across from the Post Office.  Additional parking is available by the Post Office.

 

We have no Veteran of the Month scheduled for June.

 

The annual Scholarships for Veterans attending Western Oregon University and the Scholarship for students at Central High School have been approved. Both have been set up in the name of Independence Legion Post #33.

Friends of the Monmouth Senior Center Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser, is held the first Saturday of every month from 8:30 to10:30 at the Monmouth Senior Center. The Senior Center is located at 180 Warren St S, Monmouth, Or 97361. The cost is $10.00 for all you can eat, pancakes, sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy, coffee and orange juice. Come join us.
