Dear Legionnaire, 

 

Here is calendar of events coming up.

 

Wednesday May 21st at 10:00am, will start putting graveside flags out at Independence Hill Top & Buena Vista cemeteries.

 Memorial Day Is May 26th this year.

 

Thursday May 29th, 5pm will be the next a “Touring Wall that Heals” meeting in the meeting room of the Independence Heritage Museum. The Museum is located on the corner of 2nd and C Street in Independence, 281 S. 2nd Street, across from the Post Office.  Additional parking is available by the Post Office. The meeting is kept to one hour.

 

Our next Legion meeting will also be Wednesday June 4th, at 7:00pm also in the meeting room of the Independence Heritage Museum. This meeting too, is kept to one hour.

 

We have no Veteran of the Month scheduled for June.

The Wall That Heals Donation Form Donation Web site; donations will be used to support the expenses associated with bringing The Wall That Heals to Independence, Oregon.

Donations can be mailed to the Independence Heritage Museum. Checks can be made out to “Independence American Legion Post 33”. In the Memo area of your check, write donation “The Wall that Heals”.  American Legion in c/o Independence Heritage Museum, 281 S. 2nd Street, Independence, Oregon, 97351.
